New Skin To Support Breast Cancer in Overwatch (mini) Event!

A new small mini event has arrived on Blizzard’s Overwatch. In an update that arrived seemingly out of nowhere, showed off a video that included a new skin for the hero called Mercy, this pink as noted by Blizzard is to help support charity. This case being for Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which Blizzard have promised to give all 100% of the money used to buy the skin for 14.99 euros, but also a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 USD.

The event is taking place between 05/08/2018 – 05/21/2018.

This skin can be bought on all platforms, this being PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

You can watch the video on their Youtube Channel at PlayOverwatch.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to prevent and find a cure for breast cancer. You can read more about them here and maybe do the right thing and give a donation to help the fight against cancer.

I for one am happy to see these events being done by Blizzard and many other companies around the world, because cancer is a demonic being in which your life force quickly gets destroyed by something you have no control over. Unless you get help. Hopefully more will come in the future from the company and if that is the case, maybe look to the community and see the many fanstatic skin ideas they have come up with.

Nevertheless, let me know your thoughts about this and how you see small events like this is a good thing or just something that is stroking the ego of others (I beg to differ and like to see this being done). Write it down in the comments and maybe give a helping hand to fight the everlasting battle against cancer.

Stay Cozy and have a nice day!

    • Exactly! That is why I also can see it become a possibility during events for community created skins handpicked by the developer team, to be implemented for a certain event they choose to hold. Maybe at Blizzcon or the next Anniversary event.

It’s just sad I’ve also seen a lot of people complain about the skin being too expensive, even though it’s for a very good cause.

Do you play Overwatch as well?
